Bringing Outlaw Kart Racing Back to Idaho! A quick look at Black Canyon Speedway.

Jul. 19 2018 News By QRC Kart

Located in Emmett, Idaho, just 45 minutes from Boise; Black Canyon Speedway is in the middle of its 2018 season with Promoters Brian Lev and Kyle Pennington at the helm. Brian and Kyle are working hard to bring the popularity back to outlaw kart racing in Idaho. A lot of work went into the track and facility during the offseason to get it prepped and ready for this season.

The track is located at the Gem County Fairgrounds and features a very driver and team friendly schedule. At Black Canyon Speedway they have only doubleheaders scheduled and they take sometimes up to three weeks off between races. This helps to give a weekend racing trip more bang for your buck and you are not committed to being at the track every single weekend.

We highly recommend you go out and give Black Canyon Speedway a shot. Classes for all ages are offered each race weekend ranging from Beginner Box to the Open 500 Class. Their next race weekend is scheduled to take place August 17th-18th. The ultimate goal for everyone associated with this sport is to see it continue to grow and gain popularity. Without the support of drivers and teams, these tracks across the country cannot thrive.

If your planning on heading out to compete at Black Canyon Speedway, or any other racetracks, let us know. We love to see drivers hitting the road and venturing outside of their local track.
